Call for proposals 3: Working digitally in the arts field
Born in 1994, my life has been growing up alongside the internet and I have seen how it has changed. Focused on digital art and psychology, especially analytical psychology I can see new forms of symbolism appear in the community. I want to bring this discussion forward because the digital space is a reflection of our inner psyche. Knowing about it can aid in the development of different platforms
I am interested in evolving alongside the digital sphere in the social and artistic sphere. It is not a trivial matter that we have altered our world more than we think by creating this alternate reality we manifest through software and share through the net. Rules have not been properly set and our symbolic perception of this new world is little by little colliding with our normal life if it has not already. I believe the Flanders insitute has the right approach to this and can benificially speak different ideas and proposals on how to act or how to view this new relaition with the digital arts.
I believe art has created a shock culture. Not all art but I am brave enough to say thata great amount of it. We have lost the sense of beauty and got lost in despair. In my work I aim to recover a bit of this beauty but without disregarding the contemporary. I want people to reconnect with the sense of sight. to think while seeing, whithout reading or without shock value. In my view a person who learns how to observe is someone who can think broadly and I am into the idea of pushing this narrative forward in order to see the whole picture, and not just deconstructed parts.

Jordi Ferreiro (Barcelona 1982) is an artist and educator. His work explores the concept of institutional mediation and how art can be a tool for intervening in – and changing – the bureaucratic spaces responsible for administering knowledge, constructing what we understand by culture and regulating our way of comprehending the world. www.jordiferreiro.info
The pandemic challenges all artists, but especially performative arts.Their biggest challenges is the adaptation of classical theater/performance into online format and lack of interaction between audience members and performers. We want to explore usage of 3D gaming technology in live digital performance as a new form of expression with emphasis on online delivery and interaction with the audience.
