Oproep 2: Duurzaam internationaal werken
For us as DRAMA LABEL is quite hard to get in touch with partners (festivals, culture houses, fairs etc.) we want to work with or apply our shows to.
Our main focus is young puppet theatre, we often work with fresh adepts from drama schools and with new established puppet groups. Our goal is to make a selection of alternative puppet shows and offer those to international market. Although we were quite successful last year (2020) with our applications, it’s still really hard to catch all the festivals, open calls etc. Our idea is a creation of a database or some kind of “catalogue” website which will serve to all participating sides from international theatre market. If you run an international theatre festival, you can make a profile there, you can put your deadlines to calendar so everybody will see it, you can upload your application form or open call, you can promote your festival there and find partners and many more. As a group, or artist, you can sign in and fill out one application form, which will be valid for all the festivals registered there and you can just select where you can apply. There is much more and not enough characters.
I think with help from some big players (for example national theatre institutes), this can have a huge impact on international theatre mobility, especially for small groups who doesn’t have a great fame but their work is really good already. Of course, this not just for Brussels region or Flanders part of Belgium, but at least for whole EU, or central Europe countries for start. We know that there are several databases already exists, but nothing so wide and so user friendly and mainly, nothing which will connect all the partners together. We think, that if that project would be successful, you can create massive network of people or organisations who might love to work with other people from different countries, but just don’t know how to get to them. From there you can go many directions, creating a forum or expo, platform for set designers for example and many more. This idea is in our heads for some time and we would love to discuss it with other people from abroad what they think about this.

We address issues of databases - bridges between personal and structural to effectuate change. This proposal deals with the gap between anecdotal and factual. We resort to data feminism; strategies to think about data informed by direct experience, commitment to action, intersectionality. We want to find accessible formats to explore mapping and visualisation of relevant aspects of our community.
Exploring collectively, feministand intersectional possibilities of vide-a game by learning Godot Engine software Since 2018 as a group we have organised workshops that toke place around 2 axes, a reflection on contemporary languages on contemporary video games from a feminist perspective, and the learning of video game programming by the free software Godot Engine.
